First day in Yahoo! Search

So, today was my first day as a Yahoo! Search designer (after completing an internal transfer).

Also, it was the first day the Search design group was at our new facilities on Mission College Blvd.

So, lots of unpacking, getting oriented, walking around and saying Hi and seeing where people were seated. Four meetings (Monday is meeting day).

Good: More space in my cube. Big window space. In'n'Out Burger (that's probably gonna be Bad after awhile). Working (and hanging out) with smarto designers like Olly, Ash, Sam, Karon, LukeW, and OK-Cancel's Tom Chi and Kevin Cheng.

Not so good: Office park vibe vs campus vibe. Fewer facilities (no gym - yet, no full-blown cafeteria - yet). No trail to run on. Slightly longer commute.

It's good. But weird. Let's see how I'm feeling after one week.
